His Florida filings, the purple diamonds, count only his own assets. Florida did not require his wife's holdings, so those figures are lower than his U.S. Senate range, which includes them. Every bar is one official report, added up the same way. Nothing is filled in between reports. Tap or hover a bar for details.

Since joining the Senate
Compares the candidate report from 2018, filed before joining the Senate with the 2025 report, using the same method for both. Changes can come from a spouse’s assets, market moves, property values, new debts or how filers choose bands, and the forms do not say which. We do not guess.

Where the money comes from
Main sources named in the disclosures and the reporting we cite. The forms don’t split the total into exact amounts, so we don’t show percentages.
Rick Scott reported household assets minus debts of $248.6M to more than $776.1M, on his latest financial disclosure (Annual Report for CY 2025, filed August 13, 2026).
Rick Scott made his fortune in health care. In 1987 he co-founded Columbia Hospital Corporation, which grew into Columbia/HCA, at one point the largest for-profit health care company in the U.S. He left as CEO in 1997, later became a venture investor, and then entered politics.
He served two terms as governor of Florida, from 2011 to 2019, and has been a U.S. senator since January 2019. A 2019 News Service of Florida report, published by the Miami Herald, called him the wealthiest governor in Florida history.
What his Senate disclosures show
His report for 2025, filed on August 13, 2026, lists 251 assets with a value. About half are his own and half are his wife Ann Scott's. Fifty of hers are listed only as over $1 million, which the Senate form allows for a spouse's holdings, so there is no upper limit for them. That is why we show his top figure as more than $776.1 million rather than a fixed number.
Unlike most members, he lists his Naples home ($25 million to $50 million) and airplanes ($25 million to $50 million). The rest is mostly private investment funds, U.S. Treasury notes, gold ETF shares and cash. The report also states that some assets were left out under the exemption for a spouse's separate holdings that meet a three-part test, so the totals may be incomplete.
Before the Senate: Florida filings
Florida asks officials for a single net worth figure, but it did not require his wife's investments. His 2010 candidate filing reported $218.6 million for the end of 2009, and his first filing as governor reported $103 million for the end of 2010. The Palm Beach Post noted he had spent $73 million of his family's money winning the 2010 race.
He started 2018 with a reported $232.6 million and ended it at $91.75 million, according to the same Miami Herald report, which also said he spent an estimated $64 million of his own money on his Senate race. The report added that his first federal filing, in 2018, put his wife's holdings at $171 million to $208 million. Since that filing, the low end of his range has gone from $264.3 million to $248.6 million.
