Andy Murray is the most successful British tennis player of the modern era. The Scot won three Grand Slam titles, the 2012 US Open and Wimbledon in 2013 and 2016, along with two Olympic singles gold medals and the 2015 Davis Cup. His 2013 Wimbledon win made him the first British man to win the singles title in 77 years. He retired after the Paris Olympics in 2024.
The Sunday Times Rich List 2026 estimated his wealth at £110 million, joint tenth among British sports figures with Harry Kane. At the October 22, 2026 exchange rate that is about $147 million.
How he made his money
Murray earned more than £50 million in prize money over his career, according to the Sunday Times figures reported by Insider Media, and added sponsorship income from partners such as Head, Standard Life, American Express and Halo.
One of his smartest moves was off the court. He spotted the potential of Castore, the Manchester sportswear brand founded by brothers Tom and Phil Beahon, and the 2024 report valued his stake at about £35 million. The Beahons themselves rank sixth among sports figures on the 2026 Rich List.
He has also invested closer to home. In 2013 he bought Cromlix, a country house hotel near his hometown of Dunblane, and after retiring he spent a short spell coaching Novak Djokovic, from late 2024 to May 2025.
How his Rich List figure has changed
The Sunday Times put Murray at £100 million in its 2024 40 Under 40 rankings, then £110 million in 2025. The 2026 list kept him at £110 million.
