Since the earliest online report (2013)
Compares the 2013 report with the 2025 report, using the same method for both. He took office in 2011. The House's online database has his electronic reports from 2013 on, so we can't show his wealth when he first took office. Changes can come from a spouse’s assets, market moves, property values, new debts or how filers choose bands, and the forms do not say which. We do not guess.

Where the money comes from
Main sources named in the disclosures and the reporting we cite. The forms don’t split the total into exact amounts, so we don’t show percentages.
Andy Harris reported household assets minus debts of $2.48M to $8.33M, a midpoint of about $5.41M, on his latest financial disclosure (2025 annual report, filed May 14, 2026).
Andy Harris has represented Maryland's 1st congressional district since 2011 and has been the only Republican in Maryland's congressional delegation since 2013. He became chair of the House Freedom Caucus in 2024.
A physician, he worked as an anesthesiologist at Johns Hopkins University and commanded the Johns Hopkins Naval Reserve Medical Unit from 1989 to 1992. He served in the Maryland Senate from 1999 until 2011.
What his 2025 disclosure shows
The report he filed on May 14, 2026 covers 2025. It lists 15 assets with a value, adding up to $2.5 million to $8.3 million. The largest are Vanguard Target Retirement 2020 ($1M–$5M); CREF 403b Equity Index ($500K–$1M) and 403b TIAA Traditional ($250K–$500K). Another two items are listed with no value or an undetermined value, such as a pension, so they are not counted.
The report lists no debts that we count, so the range of $2.5 million to $8.3 million comes from the assets alone, with a midpoint of about $5.4 million. It also lists a mortgage on a home the report does not list as an asset. As on all our House profiles, we leave that debt out because the home's value is not counted either.
How the range has changed
Using the same method for every year, the midpoint of his disclosed range went from about $2.9 million on his 2013 report to about $5.4 million on his 2025 report. The highest midpoint was about $5.6 million, on the 2024 report. The chart shows 13 reports from 2013 to 2025, each added up the same way, and nothing is filled in between them.
These are ranges built from the value bands on each form, not exact values. They move with market prices, property values, new or paid-off debts and the bands a filer picks, and the forms do not say which of these caused a change. Like every member of Congress, Harris does not have to report a home he lives in, cars and personal belongings, or federal retirement savings such as the Thrift Savings Plan, so his real net worth could be higher than these forms show.
