Raheem Sterling was one of the Premier League's most effective forwards for a decade. Born in Jamaica and raised in London, he broke through at Liverpool as a teenager, won four Premier League titles with Manchester City under Pep Guardiola and earned more than 80 England caps, including the run to the Euro 2020 final. How he made his money
Most of Sterling's fortune comes from wages at three of England's richest clubs. His move from Liverpool to Manchester City in 2015 made him one of the most expensive English players ever, and he moved on to Chelsea in 2022. He spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Arsenal.
His commercial deals are also significant. Insider Media's summary of the 2024 list names tie-ups with New Balance, Puma, Gillette and Clarks, and notes that he fronted Nike's anti-racism advertising campaign in 2023. He has spoken out often about racism in football and set up a foundation to help young people.
His career has moved on since the estimate was published. He left Chelsea by mutual agreement in January 2026 and joined the Dutch club Feyenoord in February 2026. Changes like these are not reflected in the 2024 figure.
