Anthony Joshua became a national name in Britain when he won super-heavyweight gold at the London 2012 Olympics. The boxer from Watford turned professional the next year, won his first world heavyweight title in 2016 and became a two-time world champion when he beat Andy Ruiz Jr. in their 2019 rematch.

The Sunday Times Rich List 2026 estimated his wealth at £240 million, eighth among British sports figures and one place above his rival Tyson Fury. At the October 22, 2026 exchange rate that is about $321 million.

How he made his money

Joshua's biggest earners have been stadium fights. Much of his wealth sits in Sparta Promotions, his company. In 2024 the Sunday Times reported, according to Insider Media, that the company held £129.2 million of his fortune and that its accounts showed £28.3 million from boxing in 2023 and £8.9 million from commercial deals.

He has put a lot of that money into property. The same report said he had bought buildings in Mayfair and on Bond Street, plus BP's former headquarters in Hertfordshire, and the 2025 report put his property portfolio at about £100 million. It also said he reportedly made £25 million from his September 2024 defeat to Daniel Dubois.

His next big payday may be the long-awaited all-British fight with Tyson Fury, which was announced in September 2026 for December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. The 2026 list was published before that, so any purse from the fight is not part of this estimate.

A rising Rich List figure

Joshua's estimate has grown every year we checked: £175 million on the Sunday Times 40 Under 40 rankings in 2024, £195 million in 2025 and £240 million on the main 2026 list.

We show these figures exactly as the Sunday Times published them, in pounds, and link each one to the report we checked it in. The dollar amount is only a currency conversion, and we have not changed the figure ourselves.

The Sunday Times Rich List measures identifiable wealth, such as land, property, business stakes and significant shareholdings. It cannot see private bank accounts, so the real figure may be higher or lower.
